One Pill Can Kill
With 295 overdose deaths per day, drugs have ravaged our communities and Ohio is at the center of it all. The Elks National Drug Awareness Program is the largest volunteer drug awareness program in the US. We believe, in order to ensure a bright future for our country, it is essential that our children be raised in a drug free environment.
Prescription and illegal street drugs are killing Ohioans at historic rates. Elks lodges across Ohio are working with local schools and police departments with information, tools, and programs to help communities dealing with this epidemic.
Elks National Drug Awareness Program (DAP) Website
The Elks DAP website is full of education tools, media resources, program manuals, and more. There is even a special members only area for additional information and reports helpful to running a successful DAP program in your lodge. To access the Members Only section of the website, you will need and Ekls.org account. If you do not have an account, click here to register.

Report Your Efforts!
Be sure to report any of your lodge’s charitable activites with the Drug Awareness Program! It is essential that all members and lodges report their charitable activities so that our great organization can continue to operate as a not-for-profit entity. Download a fillable PDF form below for any DAP activities you or your lodge completes.
Drug Enforcement Administration
The Elks have an amazing relationship with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The Elks are the largest volunteer organization in the US dedicated to battling the epidemic of illicit drig use and the DEA is a great partner for resources for lodges to leverage in their communities. One easy way for your lodge to partner with the DEA is to register your lodge as a collection site for the twice-annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
