The Ohio Elks Association offers support programs, awards, and financial assistance to help kids get the most out of scouting.
Scout Financial Assistance Program
The Ohio Elks Association’s Scout Financial Assistance Program is designed to assist scouts who will not have the opportunity to participate in troop activities, such as summer camp programs or summer scouting trips, due to family situations. Download the form below for details and the application.
Scout Merit Award
The Grand Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks continues to encourage Lodges to sponsor Scout programs within communities throughout our state. What better way than by joining our two organizations together in uniting the development of tomorrow’s leaders. The Elks are sincere and devoted to the future of Scouting.
The Youth Activities Committee is once again sponsoring the “SCOUT MERIT AWARD” Program to honor outstanding youth Scouts. This award is judged on their dedication and loyalty to the scout obligation, leadership, activities, and a strong emphasis with community involvement.
Two State awards will be granted from applications entered by all councils (1 Girl Scout and 1 Boy Scout) with each receiving a $1,000 award. The checks are paid directly to each council for the benefit of the recipients. All funds must be utilized strictly for scouting related programs.
Marvin M. Lewis Award
In recognition of the Elk's contributions to Scouting, the Boy Scouts of America established the Marvin M. Lewis award to recognize Elks in good standing who have contributed significantly to the youth of their communities by volunteering in the programs of the BSA.
The Ohio Elks Association offers a $1,000 award each year to a worthy student in each of Ohio’s six districts which is competitively awarded from lodges which participate in a student or teenager of the month program. Details of the program can be downloaded below.
