Ashland Elks #1360 Helps First Responders Treat Emergencies
Ashland Elks Lodge #1360 presented a check on Friday to purchase new vacuum splints for the Ashland Fire Service. The money was obtained through the Ohio Elks Association community service grant. The grant ear marks $18,000 annually to be used to purchase equipment for local municipalities and community first responders. In total 6 splints in different sizes were purchased. Vacuum splints are critical for trauma related injuries including joint dislocations, subluxations and fractures in the arms and legs.
