Defiance Elks Purse Raffle Turns Into 1,000 Socks of Light to Local Veterans!

Defiance Elks Lodge #147 held their 1st purse reverse raffle Saturday the 23rd. Which was a huge success!

In addition to the cost of the ticket we asked each lady to bring in a pair of socks for the Veterans as well a a toiletry item for  chance at a purse. After the event I counted how many pair of socks were donated from the 250 people that attended.   We collected over 1,000 pair of socks.  Our committee was amazed at the generosity!!
