Newark Lodge donated $1000 worth of items to the Licking County Veterans Service Commission for their Homeless Veterans program. The dollars came from the Elks National foundation Freedom Grant which was awarded to the lodge in April. With the grant money we purchased sleeping bags, waterproof sleeping mats, waterproof bags and cell phone holders, camp pillows and hygiene kits, enough for 12 veterans. The items were delivered to the Commission by Lodge Veteran Chairman, Eric Sheese.
