The Ohio River Valley Elks Lodge #231 is a small lodge with a big heart, combining the lodges of Bellaire #419, Martins Ferry #895 and Steubenville #231. Since all lodges were located along the river we took the name "Ohio River Valley".

All three lodges have celebrated their 100th anniversary. This is the home lodge of James L. Nichelson, Past Grand Exalted Ruler 2009-2010.

We are proud to help communities within our jurisdiction with scholarships, drug awareness programs, and many activities while contributing to the Elks National Foundation and Ohio Elks Major Charity: Cerebral Palsy.

We are a small with a BIG HEART doing for our communities.

Lodge Amenities

The Ohio River Valley Elks Lodge is located in the heart of Martins Ferry, just blocks from the mighty Ohio River and includes the following amenities:

Lodge Meetings

Regular lodge meetings are held every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, except in July, August and December when the meeting is only on the 1st Tuesday. Lodge meetings begin at 7:00 PM and are open to all Elks in good standing.

Board of Director’s Meetings

The board meets prior to all regular lodge meeting nights.
